At Meet the Need 2025, we gather with a shared purpose: to restore what trauma has taken and elevate what too often goes unheard—the voice. Through the lens of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), this year’s Statewide Training on Adoption centers on the healing power of connection and the sacred act of listening.

In the face of abuse, neglect, and complex trauma, a child’s voice is often lost—buried beneath fear, unmet needs, and survival. TBRI teaches us that voice is more than words; it is felt-safety, empowerment, and authentic expression. To restore voice is to restore dignity, trust, and hope.

This year, we will elevate the lived experiences of adoptees, adoptive families, and the professionals who walk alongside them. By amplifying their stories, we reaffirm our shared belief—held deeply by Flourishing Families of South Carolina—that healing happens through relationships, and every family deserves support, connection, and the opportunity to stay together whenever possible.​
