Amy Jeffcoat

Family Support Specialist
Midlands Region

Amy Jeffcoat earned her BA from the University of South Carolina.  Amy and her husband Cliff have three children. They have been the caregivers and now adopted parents of one biological child (17), and two adopted children (16) and (13). Amy's passion for vulnerable children and adults started in 2012 when she and her husband started going on mission trips to Zimbabwe, Africa. Traveling overseas and being in the classrooms with Zimbabwean children, teachers and families grew her desire to love, advocate and fight for those who need it.

Upon returning home to the states, God planted Amy at Liberty Christian School.  A church Mission School that continued to grow Amy's love for educating and teaching academics and the Word of God to children in grades 1st - 8th for the past nine years. Amy is extremely blessed and thankful for those who mentored her love of education at LCS.

While at this school, God had plans again. Amy and her husband became the kinship caregivers of two children ages 7 and 11 overnight. Kinship care was tough!  Having no idea what you are getting into with little to no information makes for a very long and exhausting journey.  But God places the right people in our paths always!  Amy found Kindred Hearts that is a non-profit for Kinship caregivers. Kindred Hearts made a huge impact in the lives of Amy's family. It's as if an angel just popped in and said, let me help you, and thats what they did.

After moving on to being kinship foster licensed and adopting 6 years later, Amy and her husband found Flourishing Families who came into their lives and continued to help with the intricacies of trauma, isolation and the unknown.

Amy is excited to be alongside Flourishing Families of SC. It has been her desire and passion to help guide and support caregivers, foster and adoptive parents. She is always eager to continue learning, growing and supporting these individuals and children through Hope and Healing, as she has experienced herself.
