The Need

Children come to foster, adoptive, and kinship families after experiencing abuse, neglect, and loss of their primary caregivers.

The developmental trajectory of children's bodies, brains, behavior, and belief systems are all dramatically affected by complex trauma in childhood.

Foster, adoptive & kinship families often feel isolated and overwhelmed, struggling to meet their children's complex needs and manage perplexing behaviors.

The SOLUTION

Flourishing Families of South Carolina offers hope and healing to families affected by childhood trauma.

Flourishing Families teaches caregivers an attachment-based trauma-informed approach to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children called TBRI®.
